Day Festival 141st Year
Saturday 7th May 2005
The May Queen this year, 12 year old Naomi Jade Murphy, has taken
part in the May Day every year since she was 5. She has been a Clown
a Kaleidoscope, Anne of Cleves, Cinderella, Maid of Honour, Mary
Queen of Scots and last year a Court Lady.
 The
Crown Bearer, 15 year old Ben Whittaker has also been in the May
Day processions since he was 5 and is pleased to be able to carry
on the tradition of his family who have been involved for many years.
Both Grandfathers have been connected with the festival by providing
Shire Horses to pull lorries in the procession.
